Background
Roy Stanley Copp, an early pioneer in the field of wireless communications, founded Copp Radio Laboratories in 1920. Mr. Copp believed strongly in providing his customers with prompt, competent service to support the products he sold. In the "Golden Age of Radio", Copp servicemen made home calls to keep an entire generation of Daytonians tuned in to this miraculous new source of information and entertainment.
Then, in the 1940's as the country began its irreversible move to television, Copp Radio continued its service tradition and kept the cathode ray tubes burning in Dayton's homes.
Thus, from the very beginning, Mr. Copp established the policies and principles that guide our operation to this day --a commitment to keep abreast of a rapidly developing technology and then commitment to excellence in service, providing the support that our customers have come to rely upon.
Now, in the new Millennium over 80 years after our founding, we have broadened our horizons to include a wide variety of technologies. We literally outgrew our name, and changed it to Copp Systems Integrator to be more indicative of the breadth of our offerings. However, we are still guided by the principles and philosophies that have carried us through the years, committed to the tradition of quality and service that has become synonymous with the name Copp.
Philosophy
Like most business concerns, we are interested in growth -- in our customer base, market share, sales and ultimately profits. Of all the possible strategies that could be employed to achieve these ends, we strongly feel that by far the most important is a continued commitment to the support of our existing customers.
A new friend is like silver, but an old friend is gold. We like to think of customers in this way. So while others expand their sales staff, we hire new service technicians. When others seek to expand into new markets, we look to find better ways to service our existing markets.
This philosophy was instituted over 80 years ago by our founder, Stanley Copp, and has stood the test of time. We still feel that the way to attract new customers is to dedicate ourselves to the service of our old ones.
We practice our trade in an industry where rapid technological growth and change have become a fact of life. While there is much to be said for using time tested equipment and techniques, it would be a disservice to our customers and disastrous to our own development to ignore new technologies. So we strive to constantly educate ourselves, keeping current with new equipment and unique applications - to be able to ofer new solutions to old problems and future needs alike.
We are proud of our tradition and continously strive to earn the reputation that we have acquired throughout our long history. |
